When I was a kid my sisters and I would pretend to be kings and queens, explorers, and even farm animals. Between us, I still pretend. All the time.
This sense of imagination was cultivated by an unlikely combo: my father a nuclear engineer from Havana, my mother a math teacher from Queens. Tales of struggle, persecution, courage, and love mark the stories of my family history.
It’s my passion in life to dig deeper into my own heart and share the stories that grow within me, and to help others who have extraordinary stories develop a voice to share theirs with the world.
